Thumb Michigan Director
Jacob Wright
Jacob Wright brings a strong background of collegiate playing experience, player development, and coaching leadership to Wow Factor Michigan. A former standout pitcher at both Delta College and Oklahoma City University, Coach Wright’s baseball journey has been built around high-level competition, championship culture, and developing athletes the right way.
During his three seasons at Delta College (2017–2019), Wright helped lead the program to two regional championships, a Super Regional championship, and a Junior College World Series appearance in 2017. In 2019, he earned All-Tournament Pitcher honors while continuing to establish himself as one of the top arms in the region.
Wright also gained valuable summer collegiate experience competing in both the Old North State League in North Carolina, where he was named Western Division Pitcher of the Year, and the prestigious Coastal Plain League (CPL).
He continued his collegiate career at Oklahoma City University (2019–2022), where he was part of two NAIA Opening Round appearances and helped lead OCU to the 2022 Sooner Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships. That season, the Stars finished ranked 6th nationally while posting an impressive 46-6 overall record.
Today, Coach Wright serves as the Head Junior Varsity Baseball Coach at Cass City and is also the Head Coach of the Wow Factor Michigan Wright 16U team. As Thumb Area Director, he is focused on building player development opportunities throughout the region while helping athletes grow both on and off the field through accountability, work ethic, and advanced baseball development.
