He has also spent six years coaching travel baseball, helping athletes compete and succeed at higher levels.
A former collegiate pitcher, he played at Eastern Michigan University from 1998–1999, where he led the team in era, strikeouts, innings pitched, and complete games during the 1999 season. He later served as a graduate assistant and pitching coach, further developing his knowledge of the game at the collegiate level.
Prior to EMU, he was a pitcher and team captain at Henry Ford Community College (1996–1997), earning All-District honors twice and All-Region recognition in 1997. His experience spans both elite playing and high-level coaching.
Over the years, Coach Bigham has developed more than 40 college baseball players, including eight Division I athletes and two MLB draft picks—one of whom went on to reach the Major Leagues.
His coaching philosophy focuses on building strong fundamentals, mental toughness, and the skills necessary for players to reach their highest potential on and off the field.
